I can provide you with the below regarding reported incidents. Please note this doesn’t include near misses, or incidents that don’t involve police. • 2 police reported crashes in the five year period 2019 to 2023 1 ped (minor) and 1 bike (non injury) • 3 police reported crashes in the five year period 2014 – 2018. 1 mobility scooter (non-injury) 1 ped serious injury and 1 car vs car nose to tail. Survey’s have been done in the past with community members to inform the Connecting our Communities Strategy and the Transport Choices project (which was cancelled by Central Government late last year). You can view the Transport Choices feedback here: https://www.stratford.govt.nz/our-council/projects/current-projects/transport-choices/community The Connecting our Communities Strategy which was out for consultation last year and adopted by Elected Members is online here: https://www.stratford.govt.nz/our-council/council-documents/strategies. Yes there is an option to decline the money. There has been no discussion about removing the walls on the roundabouts, but this feedback will be shared with elected members and staff so perhaps it’s something they’ll consider in a future project. Also just a quick note to say I accidentally clicked the thumbs down on your comment, and I can't change it for some reason - sorry! - GemmaReply Agree Disagree
